Siemens, Manchester - AS-Interface Training
Paul Hingley will be pleased to advice on the details of these courses, which are held at regular intervals and last up to five days. Not all parts have to be taken in the same week (however, please note that the Safety at Work part requires a detailed knowledge of relevant Safety Standards).
The course includes the following:
- an overview of AS-Interface technology in general, including the latest V3 specification and how it enhances AS-i.
- a detailed look as Siemens’ AS-i products and how to deploy them.
- a comprehensive introduction to the Machine Safety Standards relevant to industrial networking systems in automation (note: this is a key requisite before proceeding to the next part ... ).
- the AS-i Safety at Work profile and how it is implemented using Siemens’ products.
Tests are taken at appropriate times during the course. Successful completion results in the applicant being awarded a Certificate by the Siemens ‘Training for Automation and Drives’ department.
The successful applicant also qualifies to have his details listed here.
