Manchester Metropolitan University - AS-Interface Training
This 1.5 day course teaches the theory and practice of AS-i in a vendor-neutral way. Using a hands-on, practical approach you will learn how to use AS-i intelligent sensors, actuators and remote I/O in the most efficient and effective way, and see how to integrate AS-i into higher level fieldbuses. You will build, configure and exercise your own AS-interface system from scratch. The course also includes an overview of the AS-i ‘Safety at Work’ profile which allows AS-i networks to be used in safety-critical systems such as emergency stop and machine protection systems.
The course was developed with the aid of the UK AS-i Expert Alliance. High standards of competency are ensured by written and practical tests. Successful graduates receive a ’Certified AS-i Engineer‘ certificate.
